Strange season so far!
Isn't it ironic how Florida's saving grace ( the east coast trough, an incredibly strong one at that) was what pulled Charley right through the heart of the state! And now, although it is not set in stone, most models are indicating a strong ridge of high pressure taking over for a while. As we move into the heart of the season it will be interesting to see the paths these storms take.

Look for it to get stranger. I threw out the salvo on CFHC that we could easily be hit by multiple majors this year. If not, 5 classified canes almost seems likely. Alex was a 2 when it crossed the Point. Charley was a 4 at Port Charlotte. The real season's just getting started. It's looking more and more like this should be an over-the-top year for American landfalls. We'll have to wait and see.
