Best Wishes for a Quick Gaston Recovery!

#1 Postby SeaBrz_FL » Sun Aug 29, 2004 3:57 pm

It's been easy for most of us the past few days to spend more time worrying about Frances than Gaston, but many of us have been through Tropical Storms and Cat 1's and know that some of you may be facing some big challenges in the coming week or longer.

You didn't suffer major devastation this time, but the smaller impacts can sometimes be the most trying. Best wishes to you for quick recovery from power outtages, flooded streets, non-working street lights, empty grocery shelves, ice, ice, phone service, INTERNET/CABLE connections, ice, finding contractors for tree removal, and KIDS BACK in SCHOOL.

You Carolinian's have always seemed better prepared than the rest of the nation for these storms, so you may get right back on your feet, but I just wanted you to know that many of us understand the hassles dealt from even the smallest storms.

All the best to you,

Ditto what SeaBrz_FL said. It is easy for me to sit, watch and read all of your posts being in another part of the world. Mother nature and her fury fasinates me to no end.

But...

It is not easy to 'know' the disasters that are possible for many of you. My heart and prayers are with any one in the paths of these TS and/or Hurricanes, for you and your families to be safe. **hugs**
