#1 Postby Thunder44 » Mon Aug 30, 2004 4:39 am

It's for the wave the just east of the Cape Verde Islands.

http://www.nrlmry.navy.mil/tc_pages/tc_home.html

It's also been mentioned in the 5:30am TWO

http://www.nhc.noaa.gov/text/refresh/MI ... 0915.shtml?

SHOWERS AND THUNDERSTORMS ASSOCIATED WITH WITH A TROPICAL WAVE
BETWEEN THE CAPE VERDE ISLANDS AND THE COAST OF AFRICA HAVE BECOME
BETTER ORGANIZED THIS MORNING. FURTHER DEVELOPMENT IS POSSIBLE
OVER THE NEXT DAY OR TWO AS THE SYSTEM MOVES WESTWARD

The 6Z GFS points this bad boy right at Florida in two weeks. So what else is new?

Actually 97L is a very weak wave on the 6Z GFS. the strong storm you see develops from the wave behind it (over Africa.)

Shouldn't this be 99L and not 97L?
