Francis in comparison (size-wise)..

Floyd was a bit bigger, but not much.

To Gilbert...

The core of Frances is a similar size, but Gilbert's outflow was just tremendously huge.

Allen was bigger, but again not by much.


Point is, Frances will hit Florida with a huge area of winds, making the swath of damage tremendously bigger than Charley's or Andrew. If I were in S FL I would leave no question.
