Animal behavior

#1 Postby mascpa » Thu Sep 02, 2004 8:59 pm

The animals are behaving different. We normally have lots of birds and squirrels but only 1 or 2 the last day and a half. Went to help a friend board his house today and the horses in the neighboring were really on edge. They know something is up. Pay attention to the animals, they understand weather.

The dog and cat seem fine, they have no idea whats going on, but normally on a sunny afternoon, you see tons of birds, squirrels etc. Seems they already took off. Maybe I'd be best to follow them.

I've had all these little p!ss ants in my kitchen and bathroom for the past month. I've bought the Ant Kill from Publix and can't seem to get rid of them. Well, today, there's not one anywhere and I've been looking for them because its just weird. My husband said they've gone underground.

Here in NC, I always know a hurricane is really going to hit when the snakes start heading for higher ground. That is always a bad sign. My cats don't usually get nervous until the storm is actually starting, but our horse is usually jumpy the day before. I've heard other people mention seeing the snakes (and rats) heading for higher ground.

Interesting that you should mention ants. Lately, we've been having that same type of ant all over the place in my house (especially the kitchen and bathroom). We can't leave any food out without them sniffing it out and eating to their hearts' content.

The connection? We have a potential hurricane headed our way too.
