Evacs in the GOM

My husband is a "company man" on a rig in the GOM and he just called and said he got the word to evacuate his rig.

Has anyone heard if Northrup Grumman (Ingall's) is tying down or if the Navy is sending the boats out? This is usually, the first sign of problems.

ya know..I'm not sure what field he's in right now..but it's somewhere off the coast of Louisiana...

thanks, well I'm sure the oil rig's weather consultants see something down the road or they would have probably waited to see what Frances was going to do, since she is stationary..

I think they are worried about the seas which are already pretty rough out there....

I live in Pascagoula ... one street from the beach ...I'll go look and report back if the Navy ships have left or not.
