Anyone Else Having Problems With The NHC Satellite Pic Site?

This is the general tropical discussion area. Anyone can take their shot at predicting a storms path.

Anyone Else Having Problems With The NHC Satellite Pic Site?

#1 Postby Hurricane Cheese » Sat Sep 04, 2004 1:33 pm

I'm sure someone may have touched on this already, so forgive me for brining it up again if they have, but is anyone else having problems getting the newest Satellite images from the NHC satellite links??

All the pictures seem to be from yesterday. I'm not sure if it's just cuz their site is overloaded or if it's something I'm doing.

If someone in the know could let me, and others know here what the problem is it'd be greatly appreciated! Thanks!

Sounds like you need to refresh your browser. If you're on a Windows platform, load the site and press F5 (alternatively I've heard that Ctrl+F5 should also work).

If that doesn't work (there's no reason I can think of why it shouldn't) empty your browser's cache.

Hope this helps.

If it's the satellite LOOP, simply click refresh in the upper right hand corner(next to where you can speed it up and zoom in). Worked for me. I had the problem several times yesterday.

Thanks for the tips! Hopefully I'll be able to see some more images here soon!

Also, I agree that its time to get GOES II on IVAN....he's looking like he means business right now.

Thanks again!
