Yeah--I've been watching it do this for the last couple of hours...Is Frances making a quick strengthening as the system heads for Fort Pierce? I think so....

It's been trying all day, but it keeps getting pushed back into the outer eyewall in the souteast and northeast quads.

My eyes must be playing tricks on me. Looking at a radar loop from 4 hours ago and a current one, they eye on radar looks to have moved a little NNE. Don't smack me...I know that's not the direction it's supposed to be moving, but I can see where it is from one loop to the other and the eye appears clearly to the NNE of where it was 4 hours ago.

sucked in some dry air.
Looks as if it's now pulling in around the southern outer eyewall.
That should be a good thing....????
Maybe degrade the eye more.
Hmmm, maybe she'll just fall apart in the next couple hours as she rubbs up against the coast...

well, one could hope.
