these are available at http://www.nwhhc.com/atl062004.html

If this could be either stickied or kept near the top so that it can be ccessed by those along the coast easier, that would be great

Thanks! If it starts to go down the page, I will bump it. But I second the call for a sticky.

Derek, on your 3pm update you indicated that the hurricane may resume movement in the westward direction. Since Frances is now at 26.9 North, what do you forecast her coordinates will be when she exits the peninsula on the gulf coast? Will she travel in a northwestward direction as the NHC indicates or will she travel due west all the way across until she exits?

I was wondering that too! Thanks for asking Collier!

Frances wether report

#10 Postby DaylilyDawn » Sat Sep 04, 2004 3:17 pm

Here in Lakeland, we are getting some wind and rain but not very strong or heavy yet. It will get worse as the day goes on I imagine.

We're getting pounded every 30-45 mins or so in north Orlando. High winds, heavy rains. My friend and neighbor one block away already has lost his power. I hope mine stays on! At least they can come over to cool off and watch the news.

Tampa

#16 Postby KayFL » Sat Sep 04, 2004 7:15 pm

I am about 20 miles south of Tampa. The highest gust we have had on my roof is 27mph. The pressure is 1003 and we have had about .25 rain. Rainband is about 50 miles north of me, and he lives where they are saying Frances will exit into the Gilf of Mexico.

I live in Monticello, Fl east of Tallahassee and we got our first band of showers around 6:00PM, a couple of hours ago. . I was in Thomasville Georgia this afternoon and there were quite a few people from cental and south Florida at the local Wal- Mart. I heard on the local news tongith that the some of the Red Cross shelters in Tallahassee were full and they were having to open standby shelters. I am sure it is that way all over.

Everone stay safe!
