TORNADO WARNING
NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE MELBOURNE FL
1114 PM EDT SAT SEP 4 2004

THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE IN MELBOURNE HAS ISSUED A

* TORNADO WARNING FOR...
CENTRAL VOLUSIA COUNTY
IN EAST CENTRAL FLORIDA

* UNTIL 1215 AM EDT

* AT 1108 PM EDT...NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE DOPPLER RADAR INDICATED A
STORM CAPABLE OF PRODUCING A TORNADO 17 MILES EAST OF PONCE
INLET...MOVING WEST AT 55 MPH.

* THE STORM IS EXPECTED TO...
MOVE ONSHORE NEAR PONCE INLET AT 1125 PM EDT
NEAR WILBUR BY THE SEA...PORT ORANGE...AND SOUTH DAYTONA AT
1130 PM EDT
NEAR DELAND AT 1150 PM EDT
NEAR DELEON SPRINGS AND PONCE DE LEON SPRINGS AT 1155 PM EDT

TORNADOES ASSOCIATED WITH TROPICAL CYCLONES ARE OFTEN WRAPPED IN
HEAVY RAIN AND ARE HARD TO SEE OR HEAR UNTIL THEY ARE VERY CLOSE. DO
NOT GET CAUGHT OFFGUARD!

IF YOU ARE IN THE PATH OF A TORNADO...THE SAFEST PLACE IS IN A STRONG
BUILDING ON THE LOWEST FLOOR. MOVE TO AN INTERIOR ROOM AND KEEP AWAY
FROM WINDOWS.

TORNADOES AT NIGHT ARE DIFFICULT TO SEE. WATCH FOR THE POPPING OF
ELECTRIC LINES AND TRANSFORMERS OR LISTEN FOR THE SOUND OF LOUD
RUMBLING AS THAT OF AN APPROACHING FREIGHT TRAIN.

Be careful chadtm80. Looks like the possible meso with this storm is only 18-19nm (nautical miles) to your northeast and the storm is moving wsw-ward at 50kts. Stay safe man.
