Theme parks and Frances

Big theme parks in Florida lost about 40 million dollars this weekend due to Frances.Disney world and Sea world closed for 2 days, losing their big labor day weekend crowd.I remember before Charley hit,I was in MGM at Disney world and nobody was there,it was awesome! If you ask me,with the tropics so busy and considering the fact that many people have moved their vacation plans further north,it's going to take a while to get the crowds back.

Was there any structural damage to any of the parks?

This two punch on Florida certainly will leave the perception in many that the place is not going to be able to be visited in over a year or so. Even those commercials don't really sway people, IMO, to come back until they feel it's better there.

I saw this morning some footage of damage that was done to a side of a Marriott Hotel in or near Orlando...haven't heard of any damage to Disney World, MGM Studios, etc.

I may visit one of the parks next weekend, they're fun when they're empty. I love the roller coaster at Sea World, the Kraken.
