this one now appears as if it will go into S America, or skim the north coast

This is pretty rare in Amazing. It was not out of the quastion because this was the lowest Lat a cat3 or higher has ever formed. This should be interesting!

Derek will south America weaken it by cutting its inflow off?

Good grief...

Why is it going South!?!?

I asked a few days ago if anyone thought this could pull an Earl- I was hopeful... looks like it might be along the same theroy even if further south.

I can assure you...this system is not heading toward South America. The center is probably wobbling around in there...but it is not going to slam into the north coast if Venezulea...although that's what they get for denying us permission to fly into their air space last month.

Yeah, the eye position is pretty clear on satellite.

It may be moving due W, but it's not heading for SA.

Watch any of the loops.

Except shortwave IR :) It's got a good optical illusion going on right now, makes it look WSW.

Check the IR or WV to see the real deal.

By the way MWatkins.....Did you recall the March 04 supposed Cat 1
Hurricane landfall in Brazil......NHC says it was a S. Atlantic Hurricane
(never heard of?). Brazil weather says it was not.....It sure acted like one at landfall....
