Will the storm hit Fla's west coast..?

This is the general tropical discussion area. Anyone can take their shot at predicting a storms path.

Our local NBC Met says we can feel less anxiety now, at least trhough the weekend. He seems more confident in a panhandle landing and not our area in SW Fl.

We got the plywood. Got 6 sheets at Lowe's.

A friend found a roofer and he's coming today to close the vent hole from the outside. Frees me to work on the broken shutters...

Cape,

I think that Met is doing an inservice to this community by playing it down! For God's sakes we won't be out of the woods until it passes us. People will once again be complacent.

If your talking about Tom Rector, I would not put too much in what he says. This guy just babbles when he talks and is very hard to figure out what the heck he's talking about. The rest of the weather staff at nbc-2 is great, I just don't trust him.

I thought it would hit the Florida West Coast, but now I'm not so sure. I don't really want it. We don't need any rain. I'm hoping it'll dump it's rain over West Alabama which was left dry by Frances. :(

I agree Tracy. My hubby woke up this morning all cheery, thinkinghe wouldn't have to put up steel sheets over our windows!
