upwelling because of slow movement is what is mainly supposed to weaken the storm.

West of 87 west it is over 90 degrees in areas. In after 72 hours this storm will likely pick up some speed of the trough is picking it up. So don't expect this to weaken.

Their 3 day forecast track shows it speading up. Certainly 10kts is not slow. I'd say anything below 8kts is slow.
