Looks like last frame 245 eyewall coming back.

This is the general tropical discussion area. Anyone can take their shot at predicting a storms path.

On the western side it appears to be kicking the dry air out. Looks like Mobile in under a hour will see gust past 100 mph. Tommorow the focus will shift to jeane as it appears could make it into the Gulf. If jeane goes into the straits this could be a small but compact storm for the keys. Labor Day storm ring a bell? Btw Take off the jacket Steph!

Looking at Mobile radar: Ivan is dancing/gesticulating. Just look at the dark part - eye = head, the emptyness to the SW - torso and hands.
Really funny. 8-)

Still an open eyewall. The dry slot is just rotating around the center.

Large opening now? Could it still wrap up before landfall?

I've looked at the eye a half-dozen (well, two short of a half-dozen) ways:

http://www.ssd.noaa.gov/PS/TROP/DATA/RT/FLOAT/WV/20.jpg
http://www.ssd.noaa.gov/PS/TROP/DATA/RT ... IR4/20.jpg
http://www.ssd.noaa.gov/PS/TROP/DATA/RT/FLOAT/BD/20.jpg
http://www.ssd.noaa.gov/PS/TROP/DATA/RT ... IR2/20.jpg

To my eyes, the eye has wrapped itself back up, or has nearly done so (there might be a teeny tiny open area to the west), and it did so a while ago.

Certainly looks possible in that loop. More reds showing in eyewall area.
