Well she's not looking too hot right now, but I think I still see indications of a closed LLC in visible. Hard to tell with only two frames since sunrise, though.

Certainly less defined..the proximity to a bigger part of the island is probably taking a noticable toll finally..Looks like more shear as well..It's probably not a open wave yet as the rotation is still strong and then center has filled in with clouds..imho

Yes, I'd like to comment: Let's hope that Jeanne does fall apart and for good. Bahamas and FL don't need another hurricane, much less the type of s.et-up MWatkins was noting in earlier post.

very small LLC may still exist

Just at the NW edge of the convection, there could be a small LLC bouncing along the N coast of Hispaniola to the WNW. But I agree, the prognosis is grim for Jeanne this morning. That said, she may very well regenerate if her remains gain latitude. We'll see.

I think she's going to survive OK.. Once she gets back on the water cleanly.. she'll have new air to breathe and will be able to survive
