Ivan...ugh! Tornado threat

From the Lake Charles NWS 415 AM CDT discussion...
(Lake Charles covers SW La. and extreme SE Tx.)

SPC HAS ALSO TALKED WITH US AND THE THINKING IS
THAT THERE COULD ALSO BE ISOLATED TORNADOS WITH SOME OF THE STRONGER CONVECTION TODAY.


I had been thinking this will be a weak TS, bring some rain...no biggie. Somehow tornadoes just slipped my mind. :oops:
I don't like them at all. :(

According to TWC Ivan is going to stall and bring flooding and possibly up to ten inches of rain. :eek: A little rain is nice but 10 inches is not.

NWS in Houston said this in the 5:40 AM CDT discussion...

IVAN IS FORECAST TO LINGER ACROSS EAST TEXAS FOR 24 TO 36 HOURS AFTER
LANDFALL BEFORE DISSIPATING.

I just noticed on the NHC that it has Ivan coming into the Hosuston area, then stopping in Central Texas and coming back towards us because of the cold front... Looks like it could be a major rain event for us...

As of this morning, it is 71 out and overcast, and kinda breezy.. No rain as of yet...

Raining pretty good here and quite gusty. Haven't heard much about any stalling.
