QUESTION ABOUT IVAN AND JEANNE

#1 Postby rainstorm » Thu Sep 23, 2004 4:37 pm

ivan is further north and west of jeanne. so, why is jeanne going to take a ne turn because of the trough coming from its west, and yet ivan is forecast to turn south, and not ne even though ivan is much closer to the trough?

true, but if there is no trough to turn jeanne, why will a "weakness' result in such a sharp ne turn?
