...now going on, she is actually building the ridge in and around herself. Not only to the north, but now, of all places, the EGOM, which is to her west.
I remember Ivan doing the exact same thing, as he was intenifying. He ended up over the extreme western tip of Cuba and ultimately made a much farther west landfall, than was expected. Like about 250 miles west, from the western most coast of the Florida peninsula.
I could easily see the models now shifting farther west, which would not be good news for the folks over in Tampa and the big bend area.
Take a look at this water vapor loop and it's very obvious, in how Jeane's intensification process is altering the total enviroment, not only around her, but to the west and the north as well. Her push to the west is now causing the trof to hang-up. At least that's what it looks like to me, an amateur at best.

Well, I'm an absolute amatuer so I can't even comment upon the reinforcing effect you believe you are observing, however, there is presently no discernable indication that the ridge is lifting to the north and east as anticipated. If anything, it appears to be continuing to build further west.
