I think it is obvious that some members of this list are confusing the term "recurve" with the meaning "will miss Florida". Because I say recurve and the storm then enters it does not mean I have called for the storm to miss the coast. This is basic...
What is even worse is that I appear to be taking flak while the whole time what I am saying is basically verifying...

Ok so if I'm misinterpreting whay you mean by recurving can you tell me exactly what you mean by that? I took recurving to mean a great big hook. Where exactly do you think it's going to land that's verifying? I'm not being rude, I'm just not understanding and if I don't agree with you that wouldn't be rude either. I'm entitled to my opinions too. ok?

I still think Jeanne is headed slightly north of due west. If the hurricane starts to slow than I would concur that the recurve is imminent. But, Jeanne has shown a consistent movement the past several hours westward. I think Jeanne will move a little left of the NHC track and curve up the peninsula. There goes what is left of the citrus crop......MGC

The storm would have to move at 295 degrees from its present location to achieve that.
Did you ever stop to consider frictional effects pulling it up the coast?
