Right, as if hurricanes weren't bad enough, they come in the middle of summer and knock out all A/C.

After Andrew, blazing August weather, and weeks without power. And weeks of curfews. I commuted long distance in those days, and once got off the turnpike in the "dead zone" near Cutler Ridge, and you were met by men in fatigues with rifles who pointed you back on your way.

Who cares? People are naturally curious. If they want to make the most of a once in a lifetime experience--let them. It really is pretty incredible in the eye of a major hurricane.
