8:00 AM EDT Storm2k Atlantic Tropical Update,Oct 2

#1 Postby cycloneye » Sat Oct 02, 2004 7:02 am

It is amazing how Lisa has performed in the north atlantic where the sea surface temperatures are well below the freshold of marginal 73*F.But eventually the cyclone will become extratropical in 24 hours or less as it encounters the fast westerlies.

Elsewhere in the atlantic:

Interaction between a tropical wave and an upper low in the western caribbean sea is aiding showers and thunderstorms to form however no signs of tropical cyclone formation at this time but the storm2k forecast team will watch it in the next few days as upper conditions will be more favorable.

Showers and thunderstorms cover the lesser antilles and are a to a tropical wave moving westward however there are no signs of tropical cyclone formation.

Tropical storm formation is not expected thru sunday.
