Looking at the lastest satellite loops it looks
like Matthew may end up having the last laugh.

But the convection is nearer to the center... Possible comeback?

As long as convection continues to fire near/ around this system, this system is not a goner. Infact i believe the NHC made a mistake downgrading this to a tropical depression.

Whoops, convection near the center. Bad night sleep...... slept at my brother's house and he snores badly, so only a wink of sleep...

His only chance is sliding east up near shore to get under less shear and wrap that big band...
