Sunspots and Hurricanes

Do any of the experts here know anything about this corolation? Help would be appreciated. :)

I don't believe that there is any evidence of a direct correlation between sunspots and tropical cyclones. A sunspot is just a cooler spot on the sun. If a lot of sunspots are present at one time (sunspot maximum), then there could be a tiny decrease in the amount of energy reaching the Earth. But would such a small fluctuation in solar output be enough to measure significant changes here? Probably not.
