Don't forget, a cluster of hurricanes can hit Florida without any being major.
Example:
Hurricane Cleo 1964
Hurricane Dora 1964
Hurricane Isbell 1964
All were Category 2.

Was Dora not a Cat 3 at landfall with 100kts? I checked Unisys and the position of 29.8N/80.7W was just offshore and making landfall as a Cat 3. Next position was inland as a Cat 2 at 95kts.
