#1 Postby senorpepr » Tue Apr 19, 2005 12:32 pm

The Storm2K Worldwide Tropical Update for 19 April 2005 at 12Z.

Note: Since there are no new tropical cyclones, I have yet to update the main page to the Worldwide Tropical Update Website, but the basin pages are still updated with the latest data.

Invest (94W) (19/12Z)
Position: 9.4N 144.3E (295 mi SSE of Andersen AFB, Guam)
Winds: 15 mph
Pressure: 1006 mb / 29.71"
Dvorak Est: T1.0/1.0

Conditions seem to be improving for this system and some further development is possible over the next 24 hours.

Invest (98S) (19/12Z)
Position: 13.6S 58.2E (475 mi NNE of Port Louis, Mauritius)
Winds: 15 mph
Pressure: 1006 mb / 29.71"
Dvorak Est: T1.0/1.0

98S is a weak system that poses little threat for development at this time. However, it will continue to be monitored.

For more information on the aforementioned system(s), to include official advisories from the Regional Specialized Meteorological Centers, go to the Storm2K’s Worldwide Tropical Update website at

94W continues to develop. Dvorak now to T1.5. Start keeping an eye on JMA to see how they handle the system.

Also, 99P is up on the NRL webpage. This will also be monitored...
