wfor channel 4 will probably be the leader by default with nocross, the guy is very capable and easy to listen too but its not like there is a whole bunch of competition..as usual my source for info will be here.

He's been with WWL in New Orleans for the last 10 or 11 years, so at least he's no tenderfoot when it comes to "talkin' tropics".

As posted on the WWL WX Forum...

Dear Forum Friends:

It is true. I have accepted a position at WFOR in Miami, Florida. I am very excited about the challenge and opportunities that are ahead. I still have a couple of months left in New Orleans, and I plan on keeping you updated on everything going on in our own backyard. Of course, John will continue to do his superior work on the forum.

This is a difficult decision, but I know in my heart I am making the right choice. Changes in life are inevitable and often times necessary.

I hope everyone understands. In the meantime, keep those questions and posts coming!

Is David Bernard as good as Brian Norcross?

you want a real TV meteorlogist...you should have seen Roy Leep in Tampa. He was one of the legends in FL....grew up with him...no one was better.

That reminds me of the same type of "legend" in Rhode Island in the 70's & 80's when I was growing up: John Ghiorse. Nobody was better than him in New Enland.
