I hate it when they do that. I say do what the damage was at the time, therefore the list is:::

I will have to disagree with you there, Mike. See, with all do respect to the grave reality the systems you listed posed, the list I posted shows, I guess, a brighter light to things. If some of those storms from several decades ago were to hit today, the impacts would be phenomenal. For example, the 1926 hurricane. If that system were to hit today, with the population build up and whatnot, it would make Charley and Ivan look pathetic. Although, I do see your point in not including population increases and wealth changes. However, I think inflation is critical to factor in. You can't compare a 1969 storm to a 2004 storm based on money along. That's like comparing the price of fuel in US Dollars to Turkish Lira. It's apples and oranges.
