McDonnel-Douglass DC-3 left Fort Lauderdale, headed to the Carribean.

Unknown if cargo or passenger plane.

Just scanned Yahoo and the news sites but couldn't find anything yet.

Then again, getting the news posted sometimes takes longer than broadcasting it. Did you hear it on TV or radio already?

Yep, it's a smaller plane, watching it on the local news as they're trying to put the flames out.
It's a DC-10 plane that was headed to the islands.
It crashed on Commercial Boulevard and NE 56th Street.

Pilot and two passengers did manage to get out of the plane according to the news. Possibly a failed emergency landing.
