ULL in Gulf

Well it turns out we had a spin off of the ULL that worked its way around the Florida coast from west to east and now, what appears to be a mid level circulation is heading north towards NC/SC border, and the ULL is backing back into the gulf. Can anyone se what I am talking about?, Very evident on water vapor loop. http://www.ssd.noaa.gov/PS/TROP/DATA/RT ... -loop.html :) :wink: :grrr: :roll: :eek:

Yes, I've notcied this as well today. Dry GOM, no rain for us, ugh!!
The ULL in the GOM appears to be headed for the FL panhandle/LA region.

I've been watching that ULL all day. but I don't see it moving the way you say it is DH. Am I missing something? I see it moving Wto WSW. DRY! DRY! DRY!

The visible sat shows a low, perhaps mid level, just west of Everglade City, Florida. The doppler radar also shows a circulation. The ull on the water vapor appears to be in north florida moving north north west. With the ridge of high pressure building in the Gulf according to NWS Mobile discussion, it could be something to watch next week. :wink:

Very interesting swirl might be just an eddy, the surface winds are in line (sort of ) with a LLC but I'd like to hear what some of the more experienced posters think. Lots of dry air and unfavorable upper level winds. :idea:
