Important info on the Dennis Recon

Just rechecked my e-mail and have some information on this flight

1. It is <b>NOT</b> an operational recon flight. It is the first flight of the IFEX program conducted by HRD (RAINEX will be flying in conjunction later in the year)

2. This was a TC genesis flight to study the formation. It is a research flight

3. The flight level can be explained by the fact that it is a research flight

They won't give any data from the flight?

it means it has a different purpose. It is still used by NHC of course, but that explains the strange flight level and the fact that this was unannounced on the recon POD
