I personally think N.O. is in trouble if Dennis travels through the Yucatan Channel. If he doesn't and travels anywhere east of that then I think he's a Alabama to Florida problem. IMO

Not to mention if that happens there will be no land interaction to weaken him.

its all about the ridge.. he will follow that ridge and if he does go west of it he will countuie his path correct me if im wrong

Exactly RIGHT! Bruce Katz Graphed it Very well at 10PM its going to Be the Position of the High Say late Sunday vs the Storm that will Determine NW or N Track...Katz is Pretty Conservative in his forecast But he said in his 16Years in N.O. he hasnt felt More certain than with these models. hes Worried about a Mouth of River then up to N.O. approach!

all of the local mets seem to be unusually concerned about this storm....none of them acted this concerned last year when Ivan's track was a bit uncertain until the last minute and then thankfully we were spared because that would been a major disaster considering how terrible the evacs were going.
