Tampa Weather said they will be posting a full synoptic discussion this afternoon and describe what they see going on with the ridge and how that will play out for Dennis' future. It usually posts just after 1pm and I will post it as soon as it comes out. They aluded to additional eastward shifting of the models and a wooly day for the Tampa area over the weekend.

Is that a trough coming down through OK/Texas?

I have read on S2k that there was not going to be a trough that could pull Dennis over FL. I hope I'm wrong because 3 was enough for me last year hear in Cent FL.

just an observation from a weather enthusiast - here in palm beach county today i've noticed considerable more cloud cover than the preceeding 3-4 days. Is this a sign that the high sitting over fl is weakening/retreating, thus causing more of a N component to Dennis
