YW. Winds are pretty hefty, too. I'm afraid it might hug the Florida coast a bit closer than predicted, but still landfall in the NE gulf.

Winds are pretty strong in the area, in Florida City.
Gusts are around 45ish mph in Marathon, 33ish mph in Florida City

Look for yourself, Jax. This is from the NHC 1 p.m. update:

DENNIS IS MOVING TOWARD THE NORTHWEST NEAR 14 MPH...22 KM/HR... AND
THIS GENERAL MOTION IS EXPECTED TO CONTINUE FOR THE NEXT 24 HOURS.
THIS MOTION SHOULD MOVE DENNIS AWAY FROM CUBA AND BRING THE CENTER
TO THE SOUTHEASTERN GULF OF MEXICO TODAY.

Wouldn't surprise me. He's a tad N of where he was now. The open water will make a big difference in the track.

Hey...just repeating what I heard on the radio link from this forum. He even said that everyone from the panhandle to as far south as Tampa should watch it very carefully. Turn it on and listen for yourself.
