This might be a dumb question....but besides those of you who can't leave because of work or whatever.....WHY ON EARTH are the rest of you still there?? Mobile? Gulf Shores? Pensacola?
I can understand staying when it's on the low side of a cat 3....but I cannot understand when it's verging on a cat 5!!!
That is SUICIDE!

It's going to be a long anxious night, but keep reminding yourself that you've taken care of what is important: you and your family's safety.

Sending prayers and hugs to all in the path,

SB

Boy this is one thing I really hate about canes--if you pray for one thing you may be inadvertently wishing harm on another. I can't attribute one person's survival over another's to prayer but to luck because I don't like to think God has favorites.

I am not picking on you Ixolib, just noting something that bothers me personally during every storm...I hate for anyone to get hurt by these things and feel guilty if my prayers work for me/family/friends and not for someone else. :(

how about we pray that everyone in dennis' path (from the coast north) be unharmed? that might be the best prayer we could offer.
