Eastern Atlantic Tropical Summary - EATS Out on July 27, 2005

Here are the three amigos - left to right:
Invest 92L - This large curved tropical wave, accompanied with an area of
low pressure continues to move WNW across the Atlantic. 92L continues
to fight a good fight against dry air and Saharan's dust. There has been
a modest increase in convection in the last 12 hours, which will mix more
moisture into the environment. We'll continue to watch 92L as is
approaches the Antilles in the next couple of days.
Invest 93L - This tropical wave died down a little overnight, however,
as it continues to move west, it will have less of a fight against dry air, as
92L mixing up the environment in favor of 93L. This is another wave
to watch for the next few days.
The newest wave, south of the Cape Verde Islands, continues to move
west into the Atlantic. As is typical with most emerging waves,
convection died down as the wave entered the Atlantic. The
general consensus is that the Cape Verde season is open for business,
so we'll have to keep an eye on this wave as well as it moves westward.
