Arrgh......the EC maps on the ECMWF site are so horrendously loathsome I thought posting one of the dynamically generated maps from the PSC site would work..

You have to choose the ECWMF, surface pressure shown every .5 mb, choose the "tropical Atlantic" map, etc.
One fly in the ointment is that it APPEARS the EC init was a bit too far S for Irene; unfortunately even on the PSC maps you can't get a lat-lon grid, and while the EC is a great model, TCs are not "bogused" in on it and you can get init location problems.
