There wont be anytime to dry out after Tammy if those tracks hold up.


high rains for days followed by any winds means a lot of trees down.

West winds are already being reported, this may be indicative that a closed low pressure area has formed or is in the process of doing so.

Well, I'm not at all surprised the tuba playing idiot didn't mention it, he has a hard enough time as it is (must have some pictures of somebody to have kept his job this long)... I pay no attention to our local mets in the SW Florida area, especially given the fighting over "who forecasted Charley's turn first"... thank God for Storm2K, CFHC and the Net in general. Be vigilant is all I can add here.


He is married to the producer... probably has quite a few pics 8 :wink:

Christy,
The MRF is no longer an operational model. Its no longer (I assume) even considered by any pro met/organization out there. I'm very surprised its still actually running data.

The MLC / LLC will be moving off land in the next couple of hours, from that point on things will get interesting as this may very well develop rapidly. The first signs would be convention build-up around the MLC or LLC as it ventures into the open waters.

As always comments are welcome.

I'm not sure what to think at this time-just watching carefully. All models want to take it North of here (Tampa to Big Bend) but you never know. A little nudge south and there we are in the crosshairs. I really don't anticipate that this will be anything major unless she sits out in the Gulf and spins for a while. There really isn't that much distance between the tip of the Yucatan and SW FL.

I hope you are right! If it grows quickly, we in SW FL won't have much time to prepare.
