Yes,it goes both ways as we like to track them but then they cause destruction and suffering.

Yep I agree....but I guess since we can't stop it,
we might as well be fascinated and awed anyway with that aspect of mother nature.

Hard to believe the 2010 season is just about here.

I just want to say good luck to everybody. A very active season awaits us and I pray everybody stays safe. Don't try to be a hero. Please evacuate if you are told to do so. Respect mother nature and take good care of yourselves

194 members on the annual hurricane forecast poll, and 49 members in the chatroom during the East Coast countdown to hurricane season. Storm2k is off to a great start!! I'm still trying to move back to Florida...especially after this hard Texas winter..sheesh! Once I get the transfer, I think I'll do my supply tub here..especially since I'll probably be living in a hotel for a month once I do....

Fingers crossed that that is once again the case! Whatever protection prayers/ceremonies were put in place by the local indians to protect Pinellas County way back when seem to have really paid off for us over the last ~90 years. Hopefully that safe track record continues!
