Much calmer conditions now. That was a windy squall.

Incredibly after all the flooding reported in the Hispaniola, it continues to rain heavily.

Here you can see the low SW of Naples and the clouds trying to wrap around. But its still very far from being anything close to being Sub-Tropical.

50 mph winds from the earlier squall snapped a tree (small, thin one)
in half in neighbor's yard.
Current sky very ominous...now windy with heavy rain.

Dont think they're happy about the flooding that comes with that

Well the flooding is bad...
hopefully they can get a break
Only had a few inches here and it is good....
At least the drought should be almost busted.

That 14 inch total is dangerous...but the 2-3 inches here...that would be very
nice...

Disclaimer: I don't want flooding, I am just very happy with the several
inch rain we are finally getting after 1.5 yr - but nature
can keep the squalls coming to me..whooo!!!!!!!!
Give me one good reason I shouldn't run around outside in a speedo
screamin like a wild gorilla... :cheesy:
Heck if it ever floods here you'll see me on CNN doing just that

Rainband are you getting any of this good rain?

The low is still cold core, so I don't expect tropical development.
But the surface low reflection is helping with the moisture.
It should reach the gulf coast with rain and breezy conditions
IMO...

Well in the shower I use up precious water....in this case...precious water is
refilling the aquifers, where it is most needed
But I only scream like that in the shower when something scares me

From your post it seems they need refilling after every shower you take.

Truer words have never been spoken
Just kidding I only shower for about 10 minutes

ULL really looks visible on the IR tonight

Hey Pro-mets OR anyone...do any of you think we could get something at the
surface...or is this circum-gyration flyin' high for the long haul (staying a ULL)?

T.B. Same thing tomorrow. A lil heat and the storms are going to pop. Based on actual physical observations (Here in Tampa) there is some warmth to the system but only due to daily heating. I saw some very low level feed that was not any type of gust front and it lasted for a very short time. 8-12 weeks from now the story changes dramatically. Enjoy the rain we need it.

This is a really well defined ULL...one of the most well defined
ULLs I can recall seeing recently in the GOM
