Yeah, I remembered that as a bunch of us got blasted for even commenting on this system a couple of days ago, and that by doing so we were a discredit to meteorology.... crow buffet time perhaps for some... hehe.... 8-)

Well my recollection is different. Very few here were dismissing any prospect of redevelopment. What was getting blasted were claims of ongoing rapid intensification, claims that it was looking better than it ever had, etc. You're not claiming those things were true a couple of days ago, are you?

Absolutely not... if fact I only posted what was developing at the time... you can go back and read them... I never claimed any specific forecast but that this was a system that needed to be monitored and watched ... that's all I ever forecast ... period... some were saying that we shouldn't even be monitoring the system, that it was dead and done for, those are the ones I'm referring to...

OK ... guess I missed that.

I' for one, never dismissed the possibilty this would redevelop.

Storms are now beginning to fire right near the "center".

exactly artist

thanks... I would like to go back and find the post that set me off on all of this but I'm just going to let it go... we have a very interesting system developing on our door steps, its perhaps is time to get focused on what is really important..

Frank you and people on this board know that I'm with you...I have an entire thread that I started 4 days ago about this system developing and many completely bashed me...of course I may be panicking more than you...and some were bashing me for my panic.

I certainly understand boca chris and remember quite well those threads, I guess I should have never brought it up as it really serves no further purpose.... my bad.... right now people in Florida need to start paying close attention to this system and perhaps down the road those in the GOM as well... we all know that if conditions get right, esp in the GOM, all hell could break loose, sooner rather than later....

Right on that. I'd say that there were probably 4 camps on this system:

1) Completely wrote it off, RIP. Actually I think quite a few were in this camp.

2) Develepment would be slow, if anything, and it would move NW through the Bahamas and be an East Coast threat.

3) Development would not commence for few days until it got closer to FL/Bahamas and would eventally move into the GOM, where it would then possibly become a formidable system (this is the camp I was in...and still in).

4) A certain someone who said it was going to be a hurricane of historic proportions striking SE FL, but one or two others seemed to get on this bandwagon as well.
