dizyfish, the access of these radars is restricted ( that is a politic of Meteo France!!! ). All i can do during this season is to send photos of these radars on the board when a storm is approching.

Guadeloupe has been in yellow alert at 11am this morning, Martinica is always in yellow and the risk of thunderstorms activity and strong winds with waves at 3 meters is pretty present tonight or tommorow morning. Hope that invest 94L won't decide to organize tremendously near the islands during the night because of the latest TWO calling for a TD at ANYTIME  ... But what a mid July's month, awesome!

Having a thread like this seems premature before we even have a depression. As this case shows.

It has been good to have the thread as there are many members that live in the Eastern Caribbean islands that can report what is going in their areas.Because its not known if the system would develop or not before it gets closer to land these threads are made for the purpose of information and for the members living in the track to report observations. Also,it has not to be a Tropical Cyclone to do damage to the islands as tropical waves can cause floods and mudslides,as the one here in Puerto Rico that caused 85 deaths in October,1985 in a mudslide caused by a tropical wave.

Why? explain your idea. For us living in the islands premature is an euphemis Praxus; Do you live in the Lesser Antilles?
For my part it's an excellent idea by Cycloneye to ANTICIPe ATE any suspicious system. Always an alert for nothing is better than no alert for something. Hope i put some clearance :). Remember Marylin in 1995 Praxus, it was a nigtmare!!!!
So, i prefer a thread for nothing than no thread for something serious. Maybe you're far away of the reality in the tropics . Keep in mind that we're much more vulnerable than others contries....
