We'll see if it regains its convection later, although I'm not holding my breath.

This wave has good form but so did the other two before it. Too much SAL and not a deep enough Low I guess.

First we have SAL, second it's DMIN, and third, convection should increase by tomorrow morning. Still, it doesn't mean that it will develop but it's not dead either.

We're getting clobbered by it, why shouldn't this system? Luis, can you see anything today? We're wrapped in dust here.

It looks like some easterly shear is impacting the system.

8 PM Discussion:

...THE ITCZ...
ITCZ AXIS IS CENTERED ALONG 12N16W 11N25W 13N34W 9N45W 9N62W.
A LOW/MID CYCLONIC CIRCULATION IS SEEN EMBEDDED IN THE ITCZ NEAR
11N22W WITH A CLUSTER OF MODERATE/ISOLATED STRONG CONVECTION
WITHIN 100 NM SW QUADRANT. WILL WAIT FOR ADDITIONAL DATA BEFORE
PLACING A LOW ON THE SURFACE MAP.

The eastly shear should make sure this don't develop within the next 48 hours. Not saying it is impossible, but the eastern Atlantic is NOT favorable for development at the moment.

Very dusty here too. But I like the looks of this new system to emerge from Africa. Let's see if it still looks that good in 24 hours or so.
