I changed my vote so is working. :)

It's really not though...unless there's some magic button I'm missing.

Good thing, I see that there has been a lot more votes since I added my 2¢. I feel more comfortable being 1 standard deviation out.

Little typo here, no? Shouldn't this one close at March 31?

The image is from the ECMWF website seasonal forecast page.
http://www.ecmwf.int/products/forecasts ... _forecast/

It's showing a large area of higher-than-normal pressures from the Gulf through the Caribbean and nearly to Africa. This is indicative of a stronger-than-normal Bermuda high pressure system at least early in the season. Such a pattern would reduce development potential in that region. The pattern would mean that the Gulf and Caribbean could be more hostile toward development than in 2012. Some seasons with a similar pressure pattern would be 1968, 1986, 1992 and 1993. Note that the Euro was forecasting similarly high pressures in the deep tropics for 2012. The forecast verified somewhat, but they weren't as high as forecast. However, the Euro was quite right that the deep tropics would be unfavorable for development in 2012. All hurricanes except Sandy formed in the subtropics, well north of 20N.

A vote for my home state here.

We have been extremely fortunate here in recent years with avoiding major strikes, but unfortunately, the law of averages is going to catch up to us eventually and mother nature is going to even things out.

We had two landfalling tropical cyclones impact my area just last season, with Beryl striking my area directly. Fortunately they did not become hurricanes, but it was bad enough. I have a bad vibe that the peninsula is going to get impacted heavily this upcoming tropical season. I really hope I am wrong about this.

It wasn't set to allow re-voting for everyone, but I fixed it and now members can change their vote if they'd like.

Ok good. :) In the other poll about the first named storm I did the same about the revoting.

The climate prediction center is forecasting above average rainfall potential for the central gulf coast.... through mid August. This could be a bad sign for that area? http://www.cpc.ncep.noaa.gov/index.php

Ok..... button, button...who's got the button?

Okay, if "its me" and i'm missing something, that I certainly appologize  , however something here just seems "wonky" to me LOL.

I do recall voting here, yet was pretty sure that I had voted for N. Carolina to receive the greatest number of landfalls. Well, in spite of potential perception of simply being "some homer wish-casting for their own home state", I am beginning to really think that Florida will be more at risk than any other U.S. state this year.

With that said - the graph at the beginning of this thread has a mark next to "Texas" that when my curser moves over, says "you voted for this option"? Possible, I guess so (but had thought otherwise). So then I simply looked for my post that I am pretty sure that I had left at the time, but could not find it here either. So then, I simply decided to just change my vote as I have read that can be done. Now, just to be clear here.....LOL, yes, i've tried to clear my cache (history, cookies, etc), I do NOT see any "space", "box" or anything else to click on to either correct, change, or newly vote. I have even tried clicking on all of the white space to the left of the states (Florida) and nothing changes or registers. There must be some step that I did not do right, or something I must have missed.

By the way, am only posting this here (rather than private or instant messaging) with the hope that others that may have tried or wanted to vote but couldn't, would also come forward so to help contribute to the overall participation. Thanks in advance, for any help with this.
