Worst possible scenario? That's easy folks!!

The United State Air Force mistakenly sends a B-1B Lancer loaded with
Nuclear Weapons into Frances to try and disrupt or destroy the storm.

The attempt fails, and major hurricane Frances makes landfall in the US
spreading highly radioactive rain over a large portion of the United States.

All joking aside, this makes landfall as a 3+ in any densely populated area.

and flood most of 4 counties. The storm would not fall below a Cat 4 and proceed to the Tampa Bay area and enter the GOM after meandering over the Penninsula for about 24 hrs. Once she enters the GOM she reintensifies to Cat 5 storm and accelerates towards Galveston/Houston. As Galveston is being evacuated, the storm suddenly makes an un expected right turn and races towards New Orleans. The city goes into a mass panic as the storm approaches and floods the city with a 30 foot storm surge,

Now THAT is a worst case!!!

Sheesh! Why did you have to pick North Miami Beach? That sure would be worst case from my point of view!

Don't forget about the curvature of the Ga coastline. Could be looking at a monstrous storm surge if Frances came into NE Fla. Would equal or be
worse than Camille's storm surge.
