Greetings from another newbie (referred from a "doomer" site.)

This site is great. It's a weather geek's delight. I will be here reading for some time.

I'm in S. Florida (Northern Broward) and other than the last advisory, they keep shifting the hit southwards. *ack*

The stores here are insane.

This will be my second hurricane, I was in Andrew (but up here in Broward. Still impressive though.)

Thanks for all of the great posts, this is very informative.

Another newbie here. I've been lurking since a few days before Charley hit SW FL. I am in awe of your collective knowledge and I've already learned so much from you all. I am currently in southern NJ, where I've lived all my life, but I am moving to Levy County (about 20 min. inland from Cedar Key) in one month. Believe me, I am planning my hurricane supplies already. Since I'm a visiting nurse I know I will be involved in helping others in preparing for storms/evacuation etc. So, thanks for this forum - I've been recommending it to eveyone I know!

Welcome to all the newbies! And, gailstorm,
welcome to Storm2K from another nurse! ;)

My question is - are there any systems coming
off of the U.S. coast in the next few days that
might prevent Frances from intensifying?
