well hurricane elana was worse in my opinion. she would sit and spin for days. at first she was to come in around pensacola so we evacuated to montgomery. she backs out we go home. here she comes again and we went to tallahassee. she wanted to visit the big bend area of florida i gues and she just sits and spins. so we go back home only to find out she's on the prowl again. only this time she did go into missisippi.

1985 : Hurricane Elena -- stalled for about three freakin' days.

I lived near Cedar Key where it was supposed to make landfall and according to the sattelite photos they showed on TV it lost its eye like Francis and was falling apart.

Then once it got moving again the eye came back and it reintensified.
