To be fair, my problem is not with the analysis or the professional who created it. I am by far not the right person to question his work or forecast.

A lot of work needs to be done to better inform the public via graphical information. This includes everyone who disseminates emergency data or data as sensitive as potential hurricane landfall points.

Casual users see "Professional Meteorologist" or "AccuWeather" and take these maps as gospel when nothing could be further from the truth. It seems folks always listen to, and often believe whoever is making the most noise, not necessarily whoever is making the most sense.

Produce enough of these maps and someone is sure to be the winner.

Thats just Hurricane Prince. :)

I think you meant, the Hurricane formerly known as Prince...

At least more thought went into this forecast and map than the forecast landfall map put out by AccuWeather with the 3 R's in Hurrricane.

When Hurricane Image hits,it could dump 10 -15 inches of purple rain!

Cyclonaut, this is a classic talkin tropics post that I can see being remembered and joked about for a while. Keep the jokes coming while we still have time to laugh before the season really gets fired up!
