Interesting little flare up in the bahamas

All sorts of things to look at. That flare in the Bahamas sure is interesting... Looks like it might give Florida some weather.

as I am no expert at this stuff, I was wondering if this flare up of convection is in an area favorable for development? and if so what direction will it move in? thanks.

well if we are to break the record of named storms, we are gonna need these flares in the west Atlantic to be named cuz another SAL is coming off of Africa... I think its just as stronger as the tropical storm season was

Heres a screenshot of the current IR loop I highlighted. Visible low circulation just off florida coast ahead of that little convection ball...which is looking a bit less intense. That little flare up appeared to move slightly south of west this am and maybe continuing to.

Also....a low just to the east of it. Plus an obvious large wave moving west to the lower right of the shot. Doesn't look very organized there but seeing a slight spin towards the front of the wave where theres a bit of deep convection (in red) popping up.

It didnt pop up from no where, that flare up is associated with a wave of energy that came off of Africa last week. Yesterday I though that area would flare up and for once I was right.

I can see the SAL outside here, and I think that wave has more with it, so I would be suprised if it develops.

Its been so dry on the east side. A tropical wave/storm is welcome in my area.
