I agree that it is probably too close to 9, but this year who knows.

Maybe Future 10 might track atlittle south of TD9 track due to how close they are.

...If a Fujiwara occurs (not sure if it would yet or not depending on multiple factors)....the wave behind 09L would go NORTH and 09L would go SOUTH....counterclockwise circulation. Examples: Humberto/Iris 1995.....Gil/Henriette 2001

Whatever is behind 9 doesn't look half bad at this point. If it developed into anything, it wouldn't be the first instance of such a situation....

IMO, if they maintain their current separation, about 1200 miles, development of the second wave should not be adversely affected. the only caveat to that would be irene deepened rapidly, in the short term. in that case, outflow could be a problem. it doesnt appear that rapid development is in the offing. all things being equal, the threshold for interaction is 600-700 mi with that neat little fujiwharra dance 8-)

If you look at the new wave behind TD 9 you can see that it is very healthy and is also very large. This one might become our Irene.

It is so rare that any of these waves form into anything, TD9 was suppossed to be the second coming and it has fizzled somewhat and now its "well look right behind it". Eventually one will form, but it has less than a 10% chance of developing.

I wonder how often a storm has formed, and then the next storm forms in front of it? Cause that's what's going to happen here.
